Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park 4×4 Road

Granite boulders to thundering falls

Difficult

The old logging road to Bridal Veil Falls cuts a gnarly path through coastal rainforest, climbing 900 vertical feet in just 3 kilometers of switchbacks and rock ledges. What starts as a gravel forest service road quickly turns into a boulder-strewn nightmare that’ll test your differential locks and your nerve. The payoff is a 60-meter waterfall thundering into a granite amphitheater, plus camping spots overlooking Chilliwack Lake that few people ever see.

This is no Sunday drive — expect loose rock, off-camber turns, and sections where you’re picking your line through house-sized boulders. Stock vehicles with good tires can make it, but sliders and a winch aren’t bad ideas. Summer’s your best bet when the road dries out, though even then you’ll find muddy sections under the canopy. Bring recovery gear, plenty of water, and respect for the old-growth giants you’re driving through.
