It’s not glamorous — it’s a working-class fuel stop in a working-class desert town, and that’s exactly what you need before burning 200 miles of gravel.

Positioned on US-395, Lakeview sits at the intersection of routes heading toward Abert Rim, Hart Mountain, the Warner Mountains, and Drake Peak. This is your last guaranteed fuel before committing to those loops. Stock up on water here — Lakeview also has a grocery store and hardware store in town if you need more than gas station supplies. Don’t skip this stop thinking you’ll find fuel somewhere else out there. You won’t.
