BLM Organ Mountains Dispersed Area
The Organ Mountains create one of the Southwest’s most striking dispersed camping areas, with jagged volcanic spires towering over scattered camping spots on BLM land. Sites range from roadside spots for any vehicle to remote pulls requiring high-clearance access deeper into the washes. The area gets busy during cooler months with snowbird season, but you can usually find space among the organ pipe cacti and desert scrub.
Access via Pine Canyon Road or Aguirre Springs Road, both graded dirt suitable for most vehicles in dry conditions. Summer heat is brutal — this is a winter and spring destination. Fire restrictions common during dry periods. No facilities, pack out all trash.
