Easy to moderate difficulty depending on where you venture, but the sand will humble any vehicle without proper technique. Stock high-clearance 4WD can handle the perimeter areas, but aired-down tires are mandatory for serious dune running. Open year-round, but summer temps hit 115°F — stick to fall through spring.
