Peninsula State Park
Peninsula State Park sprawls across Door County’s shoreline with 468 campsites spread through five different camping areas. The Nicolet Bay and Tennison Bay areas offer the most shelter and privacy, while Weborg Point puts you right on the water. Sites range from primitive tent spots to RV hookups, with most featuring fire rings and picnic tables among towering maples and cedars.
The park stays packed during peak fall colors (late September to mid-October) and summer weekends — book months ahead for those times. Winter camping is available but water gets shut off November through April. The scenic drive to Eagle Bluff Lighthouse is worth the detour, and the bike trails connect to the larger Door County system.
