Mirador Salto Grande Torres del Paine
This easily accessible viewpoint showcases one of Patagonia’s most photogenic waterfalls as turquoise glacial water thunders through a narrow granite gorge. Short 15-minute walk from the parking area leads to multiple viewing platforms, with the classic shot capturing both the falls and the jagged Torres spires in the background. Can get crowded during peak season but worth the crowds.
Located along the main park road between Las Torres Hotel and Lago Grey, accessible year-round though winter brings fierce winds and possible ice on walkways. Parking fills up by 10am in summer. Best light for photography is late afternoon when the Torres catch alpenglow.
