Hemlock Campground
Hemlock sits in a quiet pocket of mixed forest about 8 miles from the Pine Creek Gorge west rim overlooks. The 15 sites are well-spaced under mature hemlocks and oaks, with basic amenities and fire rings. It’s a solid base camp for exploring the gorge trails without the crowds of the main tourist areas. Most sites can handle larger rigs, though a couple are better suited for tents and smaller trailers.
Access is via paved PA Route 414 then 2 miles of well-maintained gravel forest road. Open April through October, with peak season in fall when the leaves turn. No reservations — it’s first-come, first-served, so arrive early on weekends during foliage season.
