The fuel is significantly more expensive than Dawson or Inuvik, and that’s fine because the alternative is running dry in the Richardson Mountains with no cell signal and a long walk. The restaurant serves basic northern fare, and the staff have seen every kind of breakdown and weather emergency this highway produces.
