Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park Campground
Parked right at the southeast end of Chilliwack Lake, this BC Parks campground is as close to a basecamp as you’ll find for the Chilliwack Lake Road corridor. The lake is long, cold, and ringed by glacier-scraped peaks — it earns its scenery. There are 146 sites spread across several loops, pit toilets, potable water, and a boat launch. Expect it to be busy on summer weekends with families from the Fraser Valley, but shoulder season (May and September) it quiets right down into legit wilderness territory.
The road to camp is paved all the way from Vedder Road, so any rig gets here fine. The Radium Lake FSR and Post Creek trail systems branch off nearby — this is your sleep spot before heading to rougher terrain. Reservations strongly recommended July–August through the Discover Camping system.
Basecamp at the edge of Chilliwack wilderness.
