Tincup Lake Territorial Campground — Alaska Highway
Tincup Lake Territorial Campground is a modest Yukon Government site sitting just off the Alaska Highway in the corridor between Whitehorse and Haines Junction. It’s the kind of place you pull into after a long transit day — a quiet lake, a few fire rings, pit toilets, and enough spruce to buffer the highway noise. Site count is small, which means it fills early on summer long weekends, but mid-week you’ll likely have the whole place to yourself.
Access is easy paved-to-gravel — any rig can get in without drama. This is a natural staging point for rigs heading west into Kluane National Park territory, including the Dezadeash Lake to Bates Lake backcountry runs. Treat lake water before drinking. Cell service is spotty at best this far from Whitehorse.
