Rock Cut State Park Campground
Rock Cut sits on 3,092 acres of restored prairie and oak savanna with two small lakes and 40 miles of trails. The campground has 270 sites split between wooded areas and open prairie, most with electric hookups. Facilities include hot showers, flush toilets, and a camp store. The place gets packed on summer weekends with RV families, but weeknight spots are usually available.
Located just off I-90 near the Wisconsin border, making it a convenient base camp for exploring northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin trails. The park stays open year-round, though water gets shut off in winter. Reservations recommended May through September.
