Olympic National Forest Hoh River Dispersed Sites

Dispersed Camping

Several dispersed sites line the Hoh River Road within Olympic National Forest boundaries, about 12 miles before the famous Hoh Rainforest visitor center. Sites sit among old-growth Douglas fir and maple, with the glacial Hoh River rushing nearby. Expect thick moss, constant moisture, and that classic Pacific Northwest cathedral forest feel. Most sites accommodate medium rigs, though maneuvering room varies.

Access via Hoh River Road from Highway 101 — paved all the way to sites. Open year-round but wettest October through April. Fire restrictions during rare dry spells. Sites can fill during summer weekends when national park campgrounds overflow.
