Loch Tulla — Bridge of Orchy Wild Camp Shore
Loch Tulla sits just off the A82 north of Bridge of Orchy, and the old road that loops along the southern shore gives you direct lochside access with views straight up to the Black Mount massif and Stob Ghabhar. It’s a genuine Highland wild camp — no facilities, no signs, no fuss. Room for a small handful of vehicles on firm grassy verges and gravel pull-outs. Scots Law right to roam applies, so you’re legal and free. Busy in summer but shoulder season delivers the loch to yourself, often with red deer on the far bank at dusk.
Turn off the A82 at the Victoria Bridge / Forest Lodge junction signposted for Black Mount Estate. The old road surface is tarmac-to-gravel — any vehicle can make it. Leave no trace strictly: this spot has a good reputation and the estate is watching. No open fires on dry ground; use a stove or raised fire kit.
Black Mount views, lochside, totally free.
