Lehigh Gorge State Park Glen Onoko Dispersed Area
This unofficial dispersed area sits along the Lehigh River near the old Glen Onoko access road, offering streamside camping under mature sycamores and maples. Space for 4-5 vehicles on the flat bench above the river, with informal fire rings and decent privacy. Sound of rapids drowns out any road noise from nearby Route 903.
Park along the old access road off Route 903, then walk about 200 yards to the camping spots. Road gets rough but manageable for most vehicles. Popular with kayakers on weekends but quiet during the week. Pack out all trash — this area survives on low-impact use.
