Fishlake National Forest Paiute Trail Mile 45 Dispersed Area
Multiple primitive sites scattered through aspen and spruce at around 9,200 feet elevation, with small beaver ponds and seasonal wildflower meadows nearby. Sites accommodate everything from ATVs to full-size trucks, with established fire rings and decent spacing between spots. Capacity runs 10-12 vehicles comfortably. Gets heavy use during peak ATV season (July-September) but quiets down significantly in shoulder seasons.
Right off the main Paiute Trail corridor, so expect ATV traffic during the day. Snow usually blocks access until late June, and first snows typically arrive by mid-October. No water sources immediately available — pack what you need or filter from the beaver ponds downstream.
