Fishlake National Forest Paiute Trail Mile 15 Dispersed Area
High-alpine dispersed camping along the legendary Paiute ATV Trail offers some of Utah’s most spectacular mountain camping. Sites scattered across meadows and timber at nearly 10,000 feet with views of surrounding peaks. Room for 6-8 rigs with existing fire rings. Snow patches linger into July some years, creating dramatic contrast with wildflower meadows.
Access only during short summer season, typically July through mid-September. Road can be muddy and rutted early season. No facilities — pack water and be prepared for afternoon thunderstorms. Popular overnight stop for multi-day Paiute Trail runs.
