Fishlake National Forest Paiute Trail Mile 25 Dispersed Area
This dispersed area sits in a mountain meadow surrounded by aspen and fir at mile 25 of the Paiute ATV Trail, offering a dozen primitive sites scattered across the rolling terrain. Sites accommodate 2-4 rigs each with natural spacing between thick stands of aspen. The area offers excellent stargazing and cool summer temperatures, though it’s snow-covered from November through May. Fire rings present at most sites, but firewood gathering restricted.
Access requires following the Paiute Trail or forest roads from either Beaver or Richfield direction – high-clearance recommended. The area sees moderate ATV traffic during summer weekends but stays relatively quiet weekdays. Snow can linger into June at this elevation, and afternoon thunderstorms are common July through September.
