Chapman State Park Campground
Chapman State Park wraps around a 68-acre fishing lake created by Chapman Dam, offering 83 developed campsites split between electric and primitive options. The campground sits in mixed hardwood forest with good shade and spacing between sites. Most sites can handle larger rigs, and the shower house is clean and well-maintained. The park gets busy on summer weekends but typically has availability midweek.
Located just off US-6 about 6 miles southeast of Warren, the park serves as an excellent base camp for exploring the southern Allegheny National Forest. The boat launch provides lake access for fishing, and several hiking trails connect to the broader forest trail system. Reservations recommended for peak season visits.
