Chapman Dam State Park Campground

Established Campground

This 53-site campground wraps around the northern shore of Chapman Dam Lake in a heavily forested valley. Sites range from lakefront spots with direct water access to secluded forest sites tucked into oak and maple groves. All sites have picnic tables and fire rings, with modern restrooms, hot showers, and potable water throughout the campground. The boat launch and fishing pier are popular with bass and trout anglers.

Reached via PA Route 6 west from Warren, then south on unpaved Chapman Dam Road for 4 miles through state forest. The lake sits in a cellular dead zone, making it ideal for disconnecting. Open April through mid-October, but call ahead in shoulder seasons as water systems may not be operational.
