Cascada de Basaseachi Base Trailhead
The trail starts at a signed parking area with basic facilities and drops 1.2km down switchbacks to the base of Basaseachi Falls. It’s all downhill going in — which means a lung-burning climb out. The waterfall is most impressive during rainy season (July-September) but runs year-round. Expect to share the trail with day-hikers from nearby lodges.
Parking area fits about 8-10 vehicles. The trail is well-maintained but steep, losing 300 meters of elevation. Allow 3-4 hours round trip if you’re taking your time at the bottom. Early morning light on the falls is worth the effort if you camp nearby.
