BLM Table Rocks Dispersed Area

A sprawling dispersed camping area beneath the distinctive Table Rocks formation, offering scattered sites among juniper and sagebrush with sweeping views of Capitol Reef’s red cliffs to the east. Sites accommodate everything from tent camping to large RVs, with popular spots along the mesa base providing natural windbreaks. Fire restrictions typically apply May through October, and the area sees moderate use during peak seasons.

Access via rough dirt roads requires high-clearance vehicles, especially after rain when clay surfaces become slick. No facilities or water sources — pack everything in. The area provides excellent stargazing with minimal light pollution and serves as a popular base camp for exploring Capitol Reef’s backcountry.
