Gwyneth Lake Recreation Site — Bridge River Road
Gwyneth Lake Recreation Site sits on the north shore of a small lake along Bridge River Road between Gold Bridge and Lillooet. It’s a low-key BC Forest Service site — pit toilet, a handful of flat spots that’ll take a truck and trailer without drama, fire rings, and good shade from the surrounding fir and pine. It fills up on summer weekends but rarely feels crowded mid-week. Water from the lake needs treatment.
Access is off Bridge River FSR, which is well-graded gravel passable by most high-clearance 2WDs in dry conditions. The road can get rough after heavy rain and is typically closed by snow October through May. No cell service. No garbage service — pack it out.
Quiet lakeside base, South Chilcotin country.
