Gold Bridge — Bralorne Pioneer Museum and Town Core

Point of Interest

Gold Bridge is the jumping-off point for most South Chilcotin overland routes — Spruce Lake, Gun Creek, Tyaughton, Carpenter Lake FSR, the works. The Bralorne Pioneer Museum a few kilometers up the road at Bralorne documents BC’s richest gold mining district and gives serious context to the old roads you’re about to drive. The town itself has a small store, the Petro-Canada fuel stop, and a handful of residents who know the roads better than any app. It’s a cultural touchstone for this part of the Bridge River country, not just a fuel waypoint.

Gold Bridge is roughly 100 km of paved and gravel road from Lillooet via Carpenter Lake Road — a beautiful drive in its own right. Cell service is essentially gone once you leave Lillooet. Stock up on fuel and food here; the next reliable resupply is a long haul in any direction. Museum hours are seasonal — confirm locally before counting on it.

Mining history and last real stop before the backcountry.
