Tyaughton Lake FSR — Eldorado Creek Recreation Site
Eldorado Creek Recreation Site sits off the Tyaughton Lake FSR in the Bridge River drainage — a legitimate staging point for anyone pushing into the South Chilcotin Mountains Provincial Park. It’s a small, forested site with a handful of campsites along the creek, pit toilets, and fire rings. Nothing fancy, but the creek noise is good and the canopy keeps things cool. Expect ATVs and horse parties in summer; it gets busy on long weekends in July and August.
Access is via gravel and maintained dirt FSR from Gold Bridge — high-clearance 2WD handles it in dry conditions, but the road can soften badly after rain. Cell service is effectively zero. No potable water — treat from the creek. Confirm current conditions with BC Recreation Sites and Trails before heading in.
