BLM Clarks Creek Dispersed Area

Dispersed Camping

Tucked into a narrow canyon off Highway 24, this BLM dispersed area offers secluded camping along seasonal Clarks Creek. The canyon provides natural windbreak and shade, with cottonwoods marking reliable water pockets even during dry spells. Sites accommodate 8-10 rigs spread along the creek bottom, though flash flood risk keeps smart campers on higher benches during monsoon season.

Access via rough dirt track requires high-clearance but stays manageable for stock 4WDs. No facilities beyond fire rings left by previous visitors. Popular with Capitol Reef overflow crowds April through October, but winter months see little traffic. Creek runs strongest March through June.
