Fishlake National Forest Paiute ATV Trail Mile 78 Dispersed Area
Perched at 10,200 feet elevation where the Paiute Trail crests the Sevier Plateau, this dispersed area offers expansive camping across alpine meadows dotted with twisted bristlecone pines. The sites are naturally spaced across rolling terrain with 360-degree views of central Utah’s high country. Wind can be fierce, but the sunrises over the Wasatch Range are legendary among trail riders.
Access follows well-maintained ATV trails, but high elevation means snow from October through May. Water must be packed in — nearest reliable source is 8 miles back down the trail. Fire restrictions typically in effect June through September.
