Leonard Harrison State Park Campground

Established Campground

Leonard Harrison sits on the east rim of Pine Creek Gorge, the so-called Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, offering 30 electric and non-electric sites spread across wooded loops. The campground maintains heated restrooms, hot showers, and a dump station — luxury amenities for Pennsylvania state forest country. Sites are reasonably private with mature hardwoods, though the electric loop sees more RV traffic during peak fall foliage season.

Access is straightforward via PA Route 660, fully paved to the entrance. The park’s visitor center and overlook trail are adjacent to the campground, making this a solid base camp for exploring the Pine Creek Rail Trail or West Rim technical routes. Reserve ahead for October weekends when leaf-peepers flood the gorge.
