George Washington National Forest Todd Lake Campground
Todd Lake sits at 2,900 feet elevation in a quiet hollow surrounded by mixed hardwood and pine forest. This intimate 20-site campground offers level gravel pads with picnic tables and fire rings, plus vault toilets and a hand-pump well for drinking water. The small lake provides decent bass and bluegill fishing from shore, with a primitive boat launch for canoes and kayaks. Swimming is popular in the warmer months, and the lake freezes for ice fishing in winter.
Access requires 3 miles on Forest Road 95, a maintained gravel road suitable for any vehicle. Sites fill quickly on summer weekends but midweek visits often find availability. No hookups or dump station. Campfires permitted in rings only, with seasonal restrictions during dry periods. Some sites can handle larger RVs up to 30 feet.
Lakeside forest service camp with fishing.
