Natchitoches Love’s Travel Stop
This full-service travel center sits right off I-49 and serves as the primary fuel stop for overlanders hitting the Backbone Trail and other Kisatchie routes. Eight diesel pumps, propane fill station, and a large convenience store with basic camping supplies, jerky, and energy drinks. The parking lot can accommodate large rigs with trailers, and there’s usually space to air down tires before heading into the forest.
Located at the junction of I-49 and Highway 6, it’s perfectly positioned for accessing both the northern and central Kisatchie areas. The attached McDonald’s and Subway provide hot food options, and there’s a dog area for stretching legs before trail runs.
