Komani Lake Ferry Crossing
This ferry crossing over Komani Lake is part transport, part scenic wonder. The boat carries vehicles across the long, narrow reservoir carved between towering limestone cliffs. Journey takes about 2.5 hours one way, with dramatic canyon walls rising straight from dark green water. Ferry capacity is limited, so expect to wait your turn.
Runs several times daily in season but schedules can be flexible. Cash payment required, and space is first-come first-served. The road down to the ferry landing is narrow and winding – not recommended for large rigs. This crossing opens up access to the remote Valbona Valley and northern trail networks that would otherwise require a long detour through Kosovo.
