Maja e Jezercës Summit Viewpoint
Stone cairn marks the 2,694m summit with sweeping views of the Prokletije range stretching into Montenegro and Kosovo. On clear days, you can see glacial lakes dotting the valleys below and the Adriatic coast shimmering in the distance. The final approach involves scrambling over loose rock — not technical, but requires sure footing.
Accessed via demanding 4WD track from Valbona village, then 3-hour hike. Best attempted June through September when snow clears from the upper reaches. Weather changes fast up here — bring layers and rain gear even on sunny days.
Albania's second-highest summit panorama
