Lillooet River Upper FSR
Deep wilderness logging road to nowhere
The Lillooet River Upper FSR pushes deep into Coast Range wilderness where few vehicles dare venture beyond the active logging boundary markers. This route follows the upper Lillooet River drainage through towering Douglas fir and western red cedar, passing decommissioned logging camps and crossing dozens of seasonal creeks that feed the glacier-fed river system flowing toward Harrison Lake.
Extreme difficulty demands serious 4WD capability with recovery gear, spare parts, and self-sufficiency for multi-day expeditions. The road deteriorates beyond Lizzie Creek crossing into barely-passable track with deep mud holes, washouts, and fallen timber. July through September offers the only reliable access window. No cell service exists beyond the first 20 kilometers, making this a true wilderness experience for experienced overlanders seeking untouched British Columbia backcountry.
