Torridon — Diabaig Road End and Upper Loch Torridon Trailhead
The single-track road from Torridon village west to Diabaig is a proper Scottish test piece — tight passing places, blind crests, and a final plunge down to a handful of white houses on the loch shore. The car park at the road end is the launch point for the coastal path north to Red Point and into the Flowerdale hills, and a legitimate staging area for Beinn Alligin approaches from the west. Expect no facilities, no fee, and no crowds past mid-September.
The road is classified single-track with passing places and is not suitable for vehicles over about 6.5 metres. Wet winter months can see significant surface water and soft verges. Torridon village, 8 miles east, is your last chance for a toilet and basic supplies at the NTS visitor centre.
Loch's edge, mountains up — dead end on purpose.
