Tettegouche State Park
Minnesota’s most dramatic state park, featuring 60-foot High Falls of the Baptism River and miles of rocky Lake Superior shoreline. The park serves as a major trailhead for the Superior Hiking Trail system and provides access to backcountry areas that connect with several Superior National Forest routes. Drive-in camping with 28 sites (some walk-in) plus four remote backpacking sites on Mic Mac Lake.
Located on Highway 61 between Silver Bay and Tofte, making it a perfect base camp for exploring the Forest Road 177 and 424 trail systems. The park’s inland trail network leads to several overlooks and connects to the extensive Superior National Forest trail web. Reservations essential during fall colors (mid-September to early October).
