Susquehanna State Forest Splash Dam Campground
Splash Dam Campground offers 15 basic sites along Kettle Creek in a valley that once echoed with timber operations. The sites feature fire rings and picnic tables scattered among second-growth forest, with vault toilets and a hand-pump well for water. Creek access for fishing and swimming, plus remnants of the old splash dam structure that gave the place its name.
Reached via gravel forest roads from Route 144 near Renovo — about 6 miles of maintained but narrow road suitable for any vehicle. Open year-round but water is turned off November through March. Popular with trout anglers during spring and early summer.
