Hyner View State Park Campground
Thirty sites scattered across a ridgetop overlooking the Susquehanna River Valley, with some of the best views in central Pennsylvania. The campground sits adjacent to Hyner View overlook, a popular hanggliding launch site that draws pilots from across the region. Sites are a mix of pull-through and back-in spots with basic amenities — fire rings, picnic tables, and vault toilets. The place fills up on summer weekends and during hanggliding competitions.
Access via a winding paved road that climbs 1,200 feet from the valley floor. The campground operates seasonally from mid-April through October. Cell service is decent on Verizon but spotty for other carriers. Water is available from hand pumps scattered throughout the campground.
