Quiet Lake Territorial Campground — Campbell Highway
Quiet Lake is a standout on the Campbell Highway corridor — a big, blue-green lake ringed by spruce and hills, with a legitimate Yukon Government territorial campground on its north shore. Sites have fire rings and picnic tables, there’s a boat launch, and the fishing for lake trout and arctic grayling is worth the trip on its own. It’s situated between Johnson’s Crossing and Faro, making it an obvious overnight for rigs running the full Campbell Highway or looping through from the Alaska Highway via Teslin.
Access is off the Campbell Highway (Hwy 4) — gravel road in, passable for most rigs with reasonable clearance. The campground typically opens in late May and closes by late September. No drinking water on site — treat lake water or carry your own. No hookups, no cell signal. Expect mosquitoes in June and July. This one’s worth slowing down for.
Turquoise alpine lake, grayling, no crowds.
