Parque Nacional Natural Los Nevados Camping Brisas
Remote backcountry campground in the heart of Los Nevados National Park, situated on open páramo grasslands with sweeping views of Nevado del Tolima and Nevado del Ruiz. Basic stone fire rings and scattered flat camping spots for 8-10 groups. No facilities — pack everything in, pack everything out. Temperatures drop to freezing year-round, even in dry season.
Access via rough 4WD track from Manizales requires high-clearance vehicle and experience with steep, rocky terrain. Road often impassable during rainy season (April-November). Reserve through park office in Manizales at least 2 weeks ahead. Permit required for overnight stays.
