Nescopeck State Park Honey Hole Road Dispersed Area

Dispersed Camping

Scattered primitive sites along old coal mining roads that wind through reclaimed strip mine land. The area has rebounded into excellent wildlife habitat – elk, bear, and wild turkey are common. About 5-7 level spots suitable for small to medium rigs, with makeshift fire rings. Remote and quiet except during hunting seasons.

Access via Honey Hole Road off PA-93 south of the main park. Road is maintained gravel for first mile, then dirt with some washouts. 4WD recommended after wet weather. No facilities – this is true backcountry camping on state game lands.
