Lillooet — Seton Lake Recreation Site and Day Use Area
Seton Lake Recreation Site sits right off Highway 40 on the north shore of glacier-fed Seton Lake, that impossible turquoise that makes first-timers stop mid-sentence. It’s a popular free BC Forest Recreation Site with a handful of informal pull-through spots and a small boat launch area. Fires are common here but check current Wildfire Restrictions — this stretch of the Fraser-Lillooet country dries fast in summer and bans hit without much warning. Cell signal is partial thanks to proximity to Lillooet town.
Access is paved to the turnoff, then short dirt to the water. Best run spring through early fall. Gets busy on summer weekends with locals and boaters — if you want a quiet night, arrive weekday or push further up the Bridge River Road. Serves overlanders heading to Noaxe Creek FSR, Tyaughton, and the full South Chilcotin network.
Turquoise Seton Lake — free and five mins from town.
