Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park Spooner Lake Campground

High-elevation campground at 7200 feet with lake access and trails, perfect base for exploring the eastern Sierra Nevada.

Clean, well-maintained campground with 25 sites nestled in mixed conifers around a small alpine lake. Sites have picnic tables and fire rings, with vault toilets and potable water available. Popular with families but rarely packed. Fire restrictions common in late summer. Great fishing for brook trout and easy hiking trails around the lake.

Access via paved road off US-50 near Carson Pass. Open May through October depending on snow. Sites can accommodate RVs up to 24 feet but no hookups. Reserve ahead for summer weekends. Makes a good overnight before tackling Carson Pass backcountry routes.
