Husky Station — Lytton BC Highway 1 and 12 Junction
Lytton is the confluence town where the Thompson meets the Fraser, and the Husky station here is a legitimate fuel and basic resupply stop for overlanders pushing north toward the Stein Valley, east into Botanie Valley, or running Highway 12 toward Lillooet. It’s a small station in a small town — don’t expect a truck stop spread, but you’ll get diesel and unleaded reliably. The town has a small grocery option and a handful of places to grab a coffee or bite. Cell signal is functional in town on most carriers.
Lytton historically sat at the edge of serious wildfire country — the 2021 fire destroyed much of the town. Rebuilding is ongoing as of recent years. Verify that fuel services are operating before you commit to it as your sole stop, particularly in shoulder seasons. It remains a critical junction waypoint for the Stein, Botanie, and lower Chilcotin routes.
Critical junction fuel before canyon country.
