Green River State Park
Green River State Park sits right along the Green River in the town of Green River, offering a welcome respite with hot showers, flush toilets, and potable water after dusty runs through the San Rafael Swell or before tackling remote canyon country. The campground has 42 sites with hookups, plus a boat ramp and covered pavilion areas. It’s popular with river runners but generally has space for overlanders passing through.
The park is right off I-70, making it an easy stop for fuel, groceries, and mechanical services in town. Summer gets busy with boaters, but spring and fall see lighter crowds. The cottonwoods provide decent shade, and the river access is great for washing dust off rigs and gear.
