BLM Green River Dispersed Area
This BLM dispersed area follows several miles of the Green River south of the historic Swinging Bridge crossing. Sites vary from riverside cottonwood groves to elevated benches overlooking the water — most can handle larger rigs, though some require careful maneuvering around established fire rings. The river provides water access and fishing, with minimal crowds except during peak rafting season.
Access via Green River Cutoff Road from Highway 24, then follow rough dirt tracks to individual sites. Road conditions deteriorate after rain. No facilities beyond established fire rings at some sites. Popular with river runners staging multi-day trips.
