Fox Lake Territorial Campground — Klondike Highway
Fox Lake Territorial Campground sits right off the Klondike Highway (Highway 2) on the eastern shore of Fox Lake, roughly 115 km north of Whitehorse. It’s a no-frills Yukon territorial site — pit toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, and direct lake access. The scenery is wide-open boreal with the Miners Range in the distance. Trumpeter swans show up during spring migration and nesting season. Fishing is decent for lake trout and northern pike if you’ve got a Yukon license sorted.
The campground is right off the highway, paved access to the turnoff, so any rig can use it. No reservations — drive-in and pick a site. Water from the lake should be treated. It can get breezy out here which keeps the bugs manageable. Good staging stop heading north toward Carmacks, the Nordenskiold River flats, and the Twin Peaks mining roads, or coming south off the Dawson corridor.
