Fall Lake BWCAW Entry Point
One of the most accessible entry points into the Boundary Waters, located about 20 miles northeast of Ely via the Echo Trail. Large parking area that can handle trailers, vault toilets, and a few primitive campsites for last-minute gear sorting. The actual portage into Fall Lake is short and well-maintained.
Echo Trail is mostly gravel but well-graded and suitable for any vehicle. Entry point gets heavy use during peak season (June-August), so arrive early for parking. Permits required for overnight BWCAW travel. No potable water at the entry point itself.
