Eurobodalla National Park — Akolele Campground
Akolele sits inside Eurobodalla National Park on the Clyde Coast, just north of Narooma off the Princes Highway corridor. It’s a low-key, quiet campground operated by NSW National Parks — think coastal scrub, banksia, and the tang of salt air mixing with eucalyptus. A handful of sites, drop toilets, no showers, no powered sites. Gets busy during school holidays and Easter with local families from Batemans Bay and Moruya, but outside those windows it’s rarely crowded. Fire restrictions apply under total fire bans — check NSWRFS before you light anything.
Access is sealed to the park boundary, then a short dirt track into camp — manageable for most rigs. Corunna Lake is right there if you’ve got a kayak or want to wet a line. Book through the NSW National Parks website; fees apply. Good launch point before heading inland through Narooma toward the Wadbilliga wilderness.
