Dead Horse Point State Park Visitor Center
The mesa-top viewpoint offers one of Utah’s most photographed vistas – a sweeping panorama of the Colorado River’s goosenecks 2,000 feet below, with the La Sal Mountains on the horizon. The visitor center has clean restrooms, water, and exhibits on the area’s geology. Multiple viewpoints along the rim trail offer different perspectives of the river bend.
Reached via UT-313, the same road that accesses Canyonlands’ Island in the Sky. Day-use area only at the overlook itself, though the state park has a developed campground a mile back from the rim. Popular spot for sunrise and sunset photography. Can get crowded mid-morning through late afternoon during peak season.
