Conaf Camping Las Torres
This Conaf-operated campground serves as the primary staging area for the famous Torres del Paine towers hike, offering designated camping spots for vehicles alongside backpacker sites. Basic facilities include pit toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings when permitted. The campground fills quickly during peak season (December-March), and the granite towers looming overhead create an unforgettable backdrop.
Located at the end of a 7-kilometer gravel road from the main park highway. The road is suitable for most vehicles but can be rough after storms. Reserve ahead during summer months or arrive early morning for walk-in sites. Camping fees paid at the ranger station, and all waste must be packed out per park regulations.
