Cold Hollow Natural Spring
This natural spring bubbles out of the hillside about 3 miles up the Jeffersonville-Cambridge Notch Road, flowing clear and cold even in dry summers. The water tastes clean with no sulfur or mineral tang — locals have been using it for decades. There’s enough flow to fill multiple water containers without waiting, and a small pullout keeps you off the narrow road.
Access requires high-clearance 2WD minimum due to the rough gravel approach. The spring runs strongest in spring and early summer but maintains decent flow year-round. No facilities here, just the spring and surrounding forest — pack out what you pack in.
